Author: Alpine Counseling & Consulting

I'm a licensed clinical social worker in Gig Harbor, Washington. Though I've just opened my practice in January of 2019, I have been serving the community and individuals to address systemic and personal mental health challenges for over 25 years. Whether providing individual therapy, crisis counseling and services, case management, or residential care, I strive to provide client centered, strength based therapy utilizing proven therapies and interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interview, Solution Focused Brief Intervention, and Problem Solving Therapy. My primary focus is working with older adults who encounter any of the many challenges we all face with aging. This includes loss of direction, health challenges, family conflicts, and mental health issues such as depression and memory loss. My expertise also extends to those with chronic debilitating thought (psychoses) disorders and serious mood disorders such as bipolar illness. Effective therapy requires a solid collaboration between therapist and client. We will work together to establish achievable goals and a time frame you are happy with. I strive to provide sound guidance and effective tools clients can begin to use immediately outside of the office and long term, after therapy has been completed. I learn from each and every one of my clients through their unique personality and amazing personal histories.
